The School Nutrition Foundation is pleased to announce that we have rescheduled the previously postponed webinar Best Practices in Menu Planning: New Meal Pattern Flexibilities. Join us on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 2 p.m. EST for a 75-minute presentation, developed in partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Division. This webinar is free, and we anticipate a large attendance so please register now and log in early. For those of you unable to join us, an archived version will be available online.

The focus of our webinar will be to ensure that participants have a common understanding of meal pattern flexibilities and best practices for overcoming common challenges. Our panel will include USDA representatives and a panel of child nutrition directors from the School Nutrition Association; the discussion will center on ways to successfully implement the new meal pattern on all levels. Learning objectives of this webinar include:

  • To learn and understand more about the flexibilities of the new meal pattern, and
  • To hear best practices for overcoming commonly-faced challenges.

We will have time at the end of the presentation for questions, so please come ready with yours. Here are the program details:
