snf50horizontalWhen the calendar turned over to 2014, the School Nutrition Foundation had more than just another new year to celebrate—we had a fifty year anniversary to celebrate! This year marks a huge milestone for SNF, and we hope you will join us as we commemorate this important landmark, which is why you are cordially invited to our March 3, 2014, 50th Anniversary Celebration of School Nutrition Heroes. Join us at the JW Marriott in Washington D.C., from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., to honor fifty years of school nutrition professionals who work to ensure students are nourished, and prepared for success in the classroom, and beyond. Download the form from our website and purchase your tickets for the event today; individual tickets are $150 for school nutrition professionals, $250 for industry professionals. You can also take advantage of one of our sponsorship opportunities that include special perks like VIP seating, premium recognition during the event, and in onsite signage.

Since its founding in 1964, the School Nutrition Foundation has raised millions of dollars to provide a wide variety of scholarships, grants, research, training opportunities, and technical assistance to school nutrition professionals at every level. SNF is the philanthropic arm of the School Nutrition Association, and the money raised through the foundation supports members in all of their professional activities. When you donate to SNF, you are helping your school nutrition colleagues gain access to the tools they need to advance their education and professional career. Honor SNF’s 50th anniversary, and help your SN colleagues gain access to continuing education and professional development, with a $50 or more donation! Show your support for SNF’s 50th anniversary, and pay forward the opportunity for more members to take advantage of the educational and career opportunities that SNF provides to help members advance personally and professionally.

This year the School Nutrition Foundation has chosen five outstanding School Nutrition Heroes to receive special recognition at the March 3 anniversary celebration. Congratulations to these five outstanding women for their hard work and dedication to school foodservice!
