If you follow Beyond Breakfast and the School Nutrition Foundation on Facebook and Twitter, you may have seen us post a link earlier this month to the National Dairy Council’s Wellness Impact Report. “The Wellness Impact: Enhancing Academic Success through Healthy School Environments” is a comprehensive, 39-page report that discusses the “learning connection” that exists between good nutrition, physical activity, and their effects on academic performance.
We are excited to announce that this Thursday, March 28, National Dairy Council will be holding a Twitter chat moderated by Dayle Hayes, MS, RD and hosted by Karen Kafer, NDC Vice-President of Health Partnerships. We will be online, ready to interact with you! This will be a terrific opportunity for us all to share ideas on how to create positive change in schools and communities. How can we help children fulfill their potential? How can we encourage their success in an academic environment? What can we do now, and moving forward, to meet these goals?
To participate in this chat, join us on Twitter at 1 p.m. CT/2 p.m. ET and use the hashtag #WellnessImpact to follow the conversation. Here’s who to follow:
- Well, us of course! Follow Beyond Breakfast/SNF at @BeyondBreakfast
- National Dairy Council @NtlDairyCouncil
- Dayle Hayes, MS, RD @SchoolMealsRock
We look forward to chatting with you!
