SNA Webinar WedSNF: Breakfast in the Classroom Stakeholder Engagement: How to Win Friends and Influence People

On Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at 2 p.m. EST, the School Nutrition Foundation is holding a webinar titled Breakfast in the Classroom Stakeholder Engagement: How to Win Friends and Influence People. This webinar is for school nutrition professionals interested in starting a BIC program, but don’t know where to start. The presenters will help you identify stakeholders and learn ways to develop persuasive talking points to help you win supporters, so you can build a sustainable BIC program. Presenters will also outline existing tools that are available to help support your BIC program. This webinar is worth one (1) CEU in Key Area 4: 4100 Communications & Marketing/4150 Communication Skills; register here.

FRAC: Developing and Leveraging a State Breakfast Report

Learn how to gather, analyze, and compile breakfast data into a report that can be used to draw attention to areas of your state that could reach more low-income students with the School Breakfast Program. Creating a state breakfast report is an excellent way to identify and highlight growth opportunity for the SBP in your state, and presenters will share strategies to help you create an eye-catching, “newsworthy” report, as well as tips on how best to target report findings toward decision makers.

FRAC: School Board Champions for School Breakfast Expansion

Finally, on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at 3 p.m. EST, FRAC will present School Board Champions for School Breakfast Expansion. School board members can play a key role in bringing breakfast-in-the-classroom and other alternative service models to their district. FRAC’s webinar will highlight action steps school board members can take to support breakfast expansion. There will also be a discussion of how state school board associations can engage with other local stakeholders—advocates, parents, and members of the school community—to bring BIC to more districts in your state.
