The Fuel Up to Play 60 folks have done it again—they have provided us with yet another amazing online resource! Their latest is a compilation of healthy recipes and exercise tips in a new 40-page cookbook available on their website. Click through to find the cookbook, called Beyond PB&J: Cooking With Kids; don’t forget to visit FUTP 60’s newly-redesigned Supporters page, too. The Supporters page is a wonderful resource, with sections for parents, community supporters, health & wellness professionals, and local government representatives who want to get involved in the Fuel Up to Play 60 program. Helping children establish healthier habits now is an investment in the future, and Fuel Up to Play 60 is working toward building a healthier generation as part of the fight against childhood obesity.

Beyond PB&J: Cooking with Kids is a 40-page online cookbook that will become an invaluable tool for Fuel Up to Play 60 participants and their families. The cookbook includes recipes, fun food and cooking facts, and tips for getting more physically active. Many of the recipes are very breakfast-friendly: Morning Glory Muffins, Fruit & Nut Trail Mix with Yogurt, Heavenly Pancakes, Fuel You Up Smoothies, Peach Oatmeal Bars, Fruit & Nut Granola Parfait, and even Rice & Bean Burritos! The cookbook has a great mix of recipes, some developed by chefs and others developed by individual students, or student groups.

The online cookbook includes a table of contents, as well as useful functions like Bookmarks, Full Screen, Zoom, and Share; you can also download the entire contents of Beyond PB&J: Cooking with Kids directly from the website.

How can I obtain a copy of the Beyond PB&J: Cooking with Kids? Is it only available on-line? It is an excellent resource and one I would like to have here in the office.

Hi – the cookbook is only available online. It is a great resource – hope you can use it in Delaware. Thanks for reading the BeyondBreakfast blog!

There is a download link when you open the file for the cookbook–you can print hard copies from that.

      Thanks again!
