Just in time to celebrate National School Breakfast Week, our friends at Fuel Up to Play 60 have launched their own school breakfast initiative! “It Starts with School Breakfast” is another great way for your school to spread the word about the benefits of school breakfast.
The latest fun-filled campaign from FUTP60 is designed to empower students and their families to take the lead to bring healthy changes to their schools and communities through an increase in school breakfast awareness and participation. One student from each state has the chance to win customized NFL merchandise, while Program Advisors will have the opportunity to win a school visit from an NFL player.
Entering to win is simple! Program Advisors, gather up your FUTP60 teams to host your own school breakfast event. Make it fun, and get creative! Then just login to your Dashboard to share your school breakfast event, and enter to win your chance at amazing prizes. “It Starts with School Breakfast” will pair perfectly with your National School Breakfast Week celebrations, and you have until March 31, 2014 to enter!
Here are a few cool FUTP60 school breakfast event ideas, but teams are encouraged to let inspiration take over and use their own ideas:
- School breakfast tailgate: Create a menu of healthy, delicious favorites (that can be enjoyed outside the cafeteria) and throw a “hallway tailgating” party.
- Host a picnic: Invite other students, and perhaps create a lasting Breakfast Picnic tradition.
- Invite community leaders: Invite local celebrities or community leaders to participate in school breakfast with your class, or the whole school.
