Last July we brought you the inside scoop from the 2013 Fuel Up to Play 60 Ambassador Summit, held in Charlotte, North Carolina. Sixty-seven student ambassadors and fifty program advisors from across the country gathered together, where for five days they participated in fun, team-building exercises, leadership activities, and brainstorming sessions on how to keep schools active and healthy. If you are a student who is motivated to make your school a healthier place, why not apply to attend the 2014 Fuel Up to Play 60 Ambassador Summit? Highlights from last year’s summit included developing school breakfast menus, communication training sessions, and food and nutrition insecurity problem solving; there were lots of opportunities to get moving, including a dance-off and a sing-a-long, and of course there were visits from NFL players from the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington Redskins, the Carolina Panthers, and more.

The Student Ambassador Summit is an annual event that brings the best and the brightest students together to build their teamwork, communication, and leadership skills. The four-day conference allows ambassadors to visit an NFL stadium, and spend time working with the Fuel Up to Play 60 team, National Dairy Council, and NFL players; student ambassadors will bring leadership skills back to their schools that will help them implement healthy changes, and spread the program across the U.S.

Interested in attending the 2014 Fuel Up to Play 60 Student Ambassador Summit? The application period is open now through March 21, 2014; the application to attend is in the Summit tile on the Dashboard for students who have reached Level Four (25,000+ points) or higher. If you don’t have enough points now, use your Tracker, implement Plays, and participate in Campaigns to help you reach the next level—you can do it!
