Hi everyone! I’ve just returned from a trip to Little Rock, Arkansas, where I was fortunate to attend a fantastic media event for Breakfast in the Classroom. Partner representatives were in attendance (FRAC, NEA-NIH, SNF and NAESP Foundation) as well as Julie Gehrki, Senior Manager at the Walmart Foundation. In addition to attending the media event, we were able to meet the kids and see their breakfast procedures first-hand. The kids at Mabelvale Elementary School were completely adorable and outgoing and I am thrilled that we’ll get to share photos, video and stories from our trip with you … next week! In addition to our Little Rock trip, next week we’ll feature a guest post from Casey Dinkin of FRAC, who provided me with a round-up of her trip to the kick-off event at Orange County Public Schools a couple of weeks ago. In the meantime, let me refresh your memories on some of our previous stories regarding these two Breakfast in the Classroom districts:
Breakfast in the Classroom Implementation: Little Rock, Arkansas
Orange County Public Schools: Breakfast in the Classroom Kick-Off Event
And many thanks to Representative Fred Allen (D-AR) of District 33, who took and shared many photos during our Little Rock event. All of the following photos are courtesy of Rep. Allen, and we are so grateful!
