Hi everyone! Just a quick note from me, Christina, your resident Beyond Breakfast blogger!
I am so excited to return to ANC this year. Utah is one of my very favorite places on earth, and Salt Lake City is one of the friendliest cities you will ever experience. Make sure you get out there and see a little of what Salt Lake City has to offer! My goals include a day hike, a visit to the LDS Temple, and a bite to eat at Squatters if I have the time!
I will only be at the conference for a few days, but I wanted to make sure it would be easy for us to connect to talk about breakfast in the classroom, social media, and anything else that’s on your mind! Make sure you follow the School Nutrition Foundation at @beyondbreakfast and Partners for Breakfast in the Classroom at @BreakfastClsrm to follow my movements at the conference, and if you’d like to meet me face-to-face you can catch me at the School Nutrition Foundation booth on two separate occasions—I hope you’ll stop and say hello:
- Monday, July 13—1:30-2:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, July 14—9:30-10:30 a.m.
I’ll also be front-and-center for the back-to-back Partners for Breakfast in the Classroom education sessions on Monday, July 13. The first session is during the 2:15 p.m. block, the second during the 3:30 block, but you don’t have to attend the first to join us for the second session, so please drop by even if you’ll be elsewhere during the first hour. We’ll have a panel of representatives from the Partners for BIC—Annelise Cohon from NEA Healthy Futures, Sarah Murphy of SNF, and Etienne Melcher from FRAC, and our rockstar RD consultant Liz Campbell—ready to share tips and best practices that we’ve learned over the last five years.
You can always connect with me via email as well; drop me a line at c.e.uticone@gmail.com any time. Hope to see you in Salt Lake City—safe travels!
